About Lug's Garage

Hi Everyone!  My name is Mel!  I am the owner/operator here at Lug's Garage!   

I have worked in the auto repair industry for the last 14 years, and during this time I have seen how corporate shops run and I have seen how independent shops run. I have noticed over the last several years that car repair has become out of reach for many people. A lot of that is due to increase in demand and market saturation, which leads to higher labor rates and increases in parts cost from suppliers, which are all passed along to you.

It is my goal to make car repair affordable for everyone, and, being affordable does not come at the sacrifice of quality care for your vehicle. There is a nationwide shortage of automotive technicians in the industry, which means only rarely do you find a highly skilled and certified technician.

In order to ensure success, Lug's garage will operate as a side business.  That is why we will only be open two days a week for the time being.  I hope to grow Lug's garage into your go to neighborhood shop.  Arcadia's slogan is "Where small town America still exists" and I hope to capture that sentiment.  So, if you are dissatisfied with the service at your current shop, come experience the Lug’s difference. We will send photos of recommendations with easy to understand explanations. We have the ability to send videos as well to demonstrate noises or movement in parts. We will take the time to make sure we have addressed your issue and you are comfortable knowing what is being done and why.
